TP Link AX50: modern day problem, modern day solution

AX50 as it notoriously famous for is the overheat issue. My unit overheat issue is getting serious. After a few checking on the future of this unit. I felt that TP-Link is trying to forget it exists anymore. I don't think they would give a f* of this unit anymore. So I have decided, since the heat issue is permanent and nobody live forever. I will find ways to solve it.

So after seeing how the case is design, I notice that the air vent for the heatsink site is too narrow. It seem like it is impossible for a good air flow. Since the Intel cpu is generating too much heat and the heatsink unable to release these heat to the air, so I found my void the warranty solution.

I tear down the case of the router.

The heatsink is wider that the AX20 model but it has serious overheat issue that AX20. I will leave it as it is with open case. By this method, I hope it at least have the maximum air flow for the heatsink to release to the air.

Then, I use my old AMD CPU cooler heatsink and put it on top of the router heatsink. This is to double down the heatsink area without using fan.

Not long after I put the CPU heatsink on top of it, the CPU heatsink itself also start to feel warm. The amount of heat generated by the Intel chipset is really horrible.

This product was purchase within a month and it already end up like this. But the ridiculous heat generated by the chipset, I don't think the router will be still able operate normally within a year time. The component might already degraded in the process.

Well, that's life.
