Bird of Prey 2020

This is the coming soon DC movie that focus on the Harley Quinn. Based on the new released trailer, I felt like either the director has some hidden trick hide that will surprise the fan like Joker or it will turn into another disaster for DC movie.

But based on the leaked plot, this movie will divide the audience into either praise it is outstanding or it is a pile of dog shit as the final twist is very very shady.

Joker

Joker if ignore it is loosely based on DC's one of the most popular villain, Joker, it is a messup of Taxi Driver and King of Comedy which both are directed by Martin Scorsese and Robert DeNiro as the lead actor which he also have a role in the movie.

It is about a man who have mental illness being pushed to the edge by a series of unfortunately until ultimately snap and turn to the Joker alike character.

There is some teaser related to Batman worldview but overall it is its own movie. DC has a lot of storyline that is more suitable for this genre rather than keep chasing the success of the Marvel in movie.

This is one of the surprise of the year as early I am not so anticipated with the concept of Joker after the director said he didn't use the comics as source material which pissed a lot of people including me.

Luckily the director able to create something epic for the character that can stand on its own.

Blade Rinner 1982

Blade Runner is a box office flop that launch in 1982. Due to the very low box office, it was pull out from theater after short screening time.

But due to the VHS, it gain its own fan throughout the years and now is consider as one of the greatest Sci Fi movies along with 2001.

The production of the movies is also a cluster f which can make a very interesting story on its own.

Ridley Scott  has teach us how to make a good sci fi sceen within a tight budget, put a lot of smoke and rain. It will create the perfect cyberpunk look.

The final scene where Roy is going to die the one of the best scene. The dialogue was the actor's own creation. It summarize the story perfectly. Until now I still can remember the dialogue.

"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die."

The Shining

The Shining is a movie by Stanley Kubrick based on the novel by Stephen King which he hated a lot until he made his own version which nobody remember until today.

It is about a family who work as a winter caretaker in a remote hotel. The hotel is closed due to the winter. The whole hotel is left with 3 peoples and the nightmare begin.

All work and no play make Jack dull is the famous quotes typed by using typewriter. The movies show Jack type a novel thick of the quotes and it was actually really being typed by people. All the pages are typed and not slip with white paper.

In the end of the movies, Jack gone mad and started to haunting his wife, his wife look in very emotional breakdown because she is really in the state. The director really push her to the limit until she almost breakdown and make the one of the most famous movies scene.

"Heeeeere's Johnny!"

The look of her is priceless.

It took a man like Kubrick to use such cruel method to achieve the perfectness of the scene.

MCU Phase Four

MCU has finally enter the new phase after the end of End Game.

Personally the timeline that they announced really boring. There is nothing much to be looking forward to. The greatest characters has their own epic closure. Black Widows will have her own solo movies that doesn't do much to the storyline anymore as we know she will be dead anyway.

Thor is replaced to the female Thor which is according to the source material. Everyone started to forget who Jane Foster in MCU then suddenly she is the new Thor.

Shang Qi is based on the Bruce Lee and I never know he existed until now. Maybe he can surprise me like the Guardians did.

Eternal is the next Guardians alike team created by the King, Jack Kirby which similar with the New God in DC. I have zero knowledge about the setup and from the casting, hope they tell a good story and not preaching.

Captain Marvel I didn't watch so why bother care the sequel.

Black Panther hope they would write a better story either of semi rip off the Lion King. We already have "live action" Lion King. This time it hint that he will face Namor, the Sub Mariner which have mentioned indirectly in End Games.

Guardians 3 due to the director twitter fiasco is delayed and will have to wait extra years to complete.

Mirror Mirror

When a classic story meet with politic correctness, you will get a new version of the timeless classic that might never stand a chance in the history of movies.

Mirror Mirror is a remake of the Snow White which now focus on the independence of Snow White to against the wicket queen.

Snow White was portrayed by Lily Collin and the Queen was Julia Roberts. Nathan Lane  is the non-importance character in the movie, not to mention the short appearance of Sean Bean as the King.

Did I forgot to mention someone?

Why yes, it was the seven dwarf, or the giants as mention in the movie. They really were seven character that no need any special effect to enhance them. Yes, as I said before, this movie is political correct, so they add in an Asian character in the group. Despite that, don't ask why the asian dude is in Europe in the mid century.

Don't miss out the outstanding credit performance in the end of the movie, it will blow your mind out. At least I am.

Dark Shadows

A film by Tim Burton with the act of Johnny Deep. This movie is no different from what they have been work since the beginning.

But this time, the movie is a bit PG-13 as there are scenes that children are not allowed to watch due to you know what.

In the end, this is only a movie that you can watch with yourself or someone that is old enough to make decision of their life.

The storyline is mostly focus on Johnny Deep(as usual). Tim have a way to tell a old classic story by wrapping it in a visual stunning art.

Probably wouldn’t re-watch it again in short term. Maybe after 200 years.

The Avengers

No need to say more about the movie.

if got time, will watch again in cinema. If download, will watch it again and again annually.

See if the Dark Knight Rises will overtake this movie this year. Oh, forgot about Spidey also.

The Holy Mountain 1973

This is an unexpected movie that I watch recently. Due to a non-sense incident that happen in my country that I came across to notice the existing of this movie.

This is one of the most blizzard cult movie that I have watch and I still didn’t understand what it mean.

The movie contain a lot of scene that is out of my imagination. It is really rare for modern movie to produce another similar type of this kind of movies.

In the end of the movie, it is a really outrages.

Watch it to believe it.

Green Lantern

After watch the movie, only one question is on my mind. Those green corps really are bureaucratic.

Here they got the killer maniac that can destroy the universe and all they can do is send a new guy that haven’t finish his training to kill that monster.

In the end, I understand why the ring chose the human as the new Green Lantern. He is the only one who use his brain to attack the monster.

The others? What do they do?

As a light tower to show people that they can grow light.

If you like Shawn of the dead and hot fuzz, then this is the one that you must Watch it if you have the chance.

Simon and Nick, those two are still can write some good movies.

Transformers 3

This is the last of the trilogy directed by Michael Bay. To show that he mean it. He really make us believe that this is it.

For 2 hours and 45 minutes, he didn’t know what to do with that time. You only have 45 minutes that have the autobots and decepticons. The rest is the story about a boy who want to find his job and the movies like the boy, he failed.

He have all the should be a marvelous scene but failed to delivered it.

Rise of the Planet of the APES

So, they finally making the sequels for The Planet of The Apes after 2001 by Tim Burtons.

This time they will begin on the story in the fourth installment of Planet Apes saga where it retell now Caesar became the leader of the Apes and control the whole world.

This should be worth of watch.

Love the part at the end where it show the stare of Caesar.
