MCU Phase Four

MCU has finally enter the new phase after the end of End Game.

Personally the timeline that they announced really boring. There is nothing much to be looking forward to. The greatest characters has their own epic closure. Black Widows will have her own solo movies that doesn't do much to the storyline anymore as we know she will be dead anyway.

Thor is replaced to the female Thor which is according to the source material. Everyone started to forget who Jane Foster in MCU then suddenly she is the new Thor.

Shang Qi is based on the Bruce Lee and I never know he existed until now. Maybe he can surprise me like the Guardians did.

Eternal is the next Guardians alike team created by the King, Jack Kirby which similar with the New God in DC. I have zero knowledge about the setup and from the casting, hope they tell a good story and not preaching.

Captain Marvel I didn't watch so why bother care the sequel.

Black Panther hope they would write a better story either of semi rip off the Lion King. We already have "live action" Lion King. This time it hint that he will face Namor, the Sub Mariner which have mentioned indirectly in End Games.

Guardians 3 due to the director twitter fiasco is delayed and will have to wait extra years to complete.

Colossus

Colossus is one of the character in the new X-Men after the original four split up. He is from the Siberia. I always though he is a lame character due to the cartoon show and movies. Even the latest X-Men comic always show him as that.

But when I read the Essential X-Men series, it proof that I was wrong. He was underrated in those media. Cyclopes also. Everyone focus on Wolverine in the 90an and making these characters in to side kick level. X-Men was always about teamwork. No one is the solo strongest. Everyone has their own weakness that others team mate will cover up.

Hope to see a real interpretation of these characters.

Comic Master channel

There are some channel by the actual comic artist. The channel that I am following is the Comics Secret Pro aka Ethan Van Sciver , the Great Jim Lee and Todd Mcfarlane.

Comics Secret Pro at start talk a lot about comics tips and then he shift to talk about Star Wars and now he is one of the kickstarters comicbook.

Jim Lee mostly showing the live stream of him in Twitch. Seeing him drawing is a joy but due to the drawing is in real time, you can listen to him talking about a lot of stuff. At the end of the drawing, he will bid the drawing. Working as the publisher in DC comics, he sure know how to earn money.

Todd Mcfarlane video mostly are short but very informative. He give out small tips about drawing. He now more on the inking rather than actual drawing. But seeing him inking is really awesome. Once he show the drawing of Spawn crossover with Savage Dragon, Erik Larsen is the penciler and Todd just enhance the whole drawing. He made a lot of changes to the pencil artwork. Todd show that inker is not just tracing what the penciler draw. They enhance the drawing.

Comic commentator in Youtube

For those worst comics, I rather spend time watching some roast the hell out of those books. Their comment make the story more interesting than the book itself. The most channel that I watch is Comic Book matter with yo boi Zack, Just some guy. Yellow Flash, Douglas Ernst. Seeing them review comics is a joy.

Comic Pop is more on neutral side as they have good relationship with the publisher. Their review on comics is very interesting to watch. I just felt sometimes they hold back a bit not to offend people too much.

Comics nowadays

I read a lot of comics for the pass few years especially the US. To me, the industry is going to the end of the road. It loose the essential core element of the comics. Tell a good story with exciting artwork.

Now, it is just a sub par artwork with a lot of bubble that talk about nothing. Some will tried to inject their social political view. I am not against this but if you want to do it, do it properly. Don't tell a mediocre story and consider it as Shakespeare. 

Worst came to the super heroes genre where these called super heroes always in emo or childish mode. Batman felt like a emo kid who always in a stated of depression. I don't know what Superman is anymore. Aquaman tried to be the Jason version after the success of the movies but failed also. Wonder Woman is in a very bored adventure that didn't know why bother.

Wonder why I just mention DC? Because Marvel is cancer now. The only best storyline is Venom and Hulk. I don't know Thor or IronMan. Captain turn to a helpless man. Spider Man always in need of others people help. X-Men team before the Hickman is a cluster fuxk.

Democratic

Democratic is not the best solution but it is by far the better one than what we have. The system is easy to be abuse. You just need the majority of the people believe in you, no matter whether you mean it or not after that.

It create more and more empty promise and the promise is getting larger and larger until it turn to fairy tales.

In history, with a little bit of violence force, you can have a 100% vote for a single candidate which in modern era seem like a legit. Some candidate just suddenly unable to contest or nobody came out to contest.

Stand Up

I like to listen to some good old stand up show. The most popular stand up is those which is very very offensive. The most famous stand up comedian that I am very fond of are Richard Pryor, George Carlin and Jerry Seinfeld

Richard is famous for his very racist joke and he curse a lot.

George is famous for his view in many aspect of life and he is more of a philosopher than a stand up comedian.

Jerry is a very special one where he seldom curse in his stand up. His topic mostly resolve around life. The little aspect of daily life. He had his own TV show and I always remember this gag he perform. It is around like this: "When you watch a TV ads about detergent, they will show you a shirt full of blood and then wolla the blood stain is gone. I don't care how the blood is gone, I am more concern on how the blood get on the shirt. Call the 911"
