Art Science Museum

This is a symbol of saying, I have money and I can build what ever I want no matter it is useful or not.

The building is constructed to represent a lotus flower. It is allocated near the Marina Bay Sands. You need to walk pass the complex center in order to reach there if you travel from Marina Bay MRT station. That is nearly 1KM distance.

Inside the building is nothing much you can expect. Around 4 floor that you can enter. You need to pay to get it.

Seeing from outside, it is better viewing it from the Helix Bridge.

The guard at the exist entrance ask for the ticket and I didn’t have it because I didn’t know it was needed. The guy see me and see the other side of staff. He let me pass it.

Art Science Museum : Vincent

I went there because Vincent’s art is showing at there. So does Dali’s art. In addition to that, the museum add in bonus exhibition to patrol to the museum. We can see the shipwreck stuff since the Tang Dynasty.

For Vincent’s art, they use projector to project all Vincent’s art on a hall room. A very unique way for an art exhibition.

If say more plain, it was just a slide show on a big wall that charge you 30 dollars. But for Vincent, it worth my dollar.

Going Casino

I went to casino in a famous shopping complex. From the way I see it, The shopping complex is just a place to hide the casino.

Inside the casino there are just a few type of game that people can play. But that is more than enough. How many way do you want to loose your money?

Local and PR cannot get in without paying some extra fee. Haven’t in already loose money. The people who build it said this is to make sure the local people wouldn’t gamble. So the people are concern of people gambling.

They spend a lot of money to build a place to be a foreign people private club.

Suddenly, my passport like my touch n go card, I can enter the casino easy.

Best part of the casino that I like about here is that the drink is free. There are a lot of drinks provided by the host to make sure you wouldn’t leave the place for refreshing. How hospitality.

I have (couples) of my drink then leave the place. There still have other things to spend on my hard earn money.

Tablet? Phone?

Asus is developing a new genre of smartphone device. It can be a tablet or a phone based on user need. Yes. They have expand some concept like the Motorola Atrix which have a laptop alike docking. But for Asus, they develop a tablet alike docking system. Pretty nice in deed.

Hope this tablet can compatible with the Asus eeePad Transformer docking. Then it would become a complete set of system.

The downside of this is that user like me need to wait until the end of this year for it to launch. Bumper.

What if …Nokia E7

nokia-e7

If the phone is set to dual core processor with 1Gb of RAM and 8Mp auto-focus camera with Android 2.3.4. Add with a Micro-SD slot that can support up to 32Gb. The screen is Super AMOLed + and powered with 1600mAH battery. Give it NFC support also.

With this specification and its form factor. It would be an offer that I cannot refuse.

To pos office

One thing is good for using pos laju to send parcel is that we can collect our stuff after 7pm. Other courier don’t provide this kind of services.

My boss don’t like personal parcel to be send to company. He thinks this will affect our job. A lame excuse.

But everything have its flip side.

I have been there quite frequently as I mail order items from internet and have tasted the attitude problems that those workers have.

The details I don’t want to say as it can keep on going like Duracell’s rabbit.

At the seminar

The seminar was suck. This is no seminar or training as stated in the invited mail. This is a SIX hours ads that have no switch off button.

With a goodies bag that contains a pen, a plastic bag and notepad, I was forced to listen to a very general stuff on some technology that I can get from newspaper ads.

But on the other hand, I don’t need to work today.

Gain some lose some, that’s life.

Travel to KL

I forget that I need to travel to KL today because I need to attend a seminar tomorrow. I thought that the seminar is on Wednesday. Lucky my boss didn’t know that I forgot it.

We started our trip to KL from Penang at 2pm which is very suck as the temperature during that time is very high and the air con of the car cannot help much.

All the way to KL, I felt very sleepy but my boss felt more and that made me very nervous.

When we reached KL, it was already nearly 8pm and the road was very jam.

I hate KL.

Today when I was trying to get into a bus, I felt very angry. An old lady was trying to get up to the bus but people from the back kept pushing her out. We all want to get into the bus but is it right to do that?

I was mad at that time and directly shouted at the back. This was the first time I loose control of my temper on this matter. The peoples that push the old lady are youngster which make the matter more sad.

Another big day,

This time is my hometown. My mother have been half force half persuaded to buy a dinner ticket in honor of my hometown fund raising for our local temple.

They said a deputy minister will be coming to the dinner as well. Many people dressed up to meet the minister. But due to don’t know what reason, the deputy minister absent at last minute. He send a representative to give his speech. He started with Malay version first which to me is very odds as the whole hall is full of Chinese people. Only one Malay guy that come with the representative is in the halls. Is that necessarily?

The ticket said that the dinner start at 7:30pm but not until 8:30pm the dinner only started. I have sat at there like a fool waiting the food to come.

When the dinner started, my table were not sat full yet as there were five more people who haven’t reached there yet. When they came, I was asked to move my sit so that those who came late could sit together. I didn’t move as you are late and that’s your problem. If you want to sit together, come early.

The dinner is a bit boring and the duration for each food is served is very long. Until 10:30pm, the dinner is still haven’t finished yet.

I slip out and just go back.

The big day for my friend

Today is the big day for my friend as he is now officially off the hook from the bachelor group. The wedding procedure is very simple, go to the hotel and bring the bride back home.

No food no drink no ang pau given. They said want to keep everything simple.

At noon nothing to eat or drink and if you want any of it, find it yourself.

At night, at the feast, we were treated with vegetarian menu. No because my friend is a vegetarian but because of his wife. Now the need of his wife overweight the need of the guests.

The feast is very suffer as we are cannibal and these are shit to us. After the feast, we still felt hungry and we need to go to the mamak stall to eat nasi kandar. This is the first wedding feast that I cannot eat full.

Really nice going, bro!!

One thing that I cannot understand is that for all the procedure that my friend have skip out, only the open bride’s door ang pau they never skip.

Hmmm…I guess nobody can really skip money.

Obedient Wives Club to offer sex lessons

RAWANG: Sex lessons to help wives “serve their husbands better than a first-class prostitute” will be among the classes provided by the Obedient Wives Club (OWC) to help promote harmonious marriages and counter social ills.

Its vice-president Dr Rohaya Mohamad said it was time sexual prowess took a front seat in marriage, beyond that of the traditional “good mother or good cook” roles.

“A good or religious wife should also be good in bed,” she told reporters after the launch of the club's Malaysian chapter at a golf club here yesterday.

She said a husband who was kept happy in the bedroom would have no reason to stray, seek out prostitutes or indulge in other social vices.

Making its debut: Fauziah Arifin from the OWC giving a token of appreciation to Positive Image Resources Sdn Bhd executive director Datin Zainah Abdul Ghani at the launch of the club in Rawang yesterday. Looking on are Sakinah Rahmanuddin and Selayang Umno deputy chief Datuk Nasir Ibrahim.

“The family institution is protected and we can curb social ills like prostitution, domestic violence, human trafficking and abandoned babies,” she said, adding that she believed these problems stemmed from unfulfilled sexual needs at home.

Dr Rohaya, who previously served 15 years as a doctor in the Health Ministry, said the club would also offer counselling and lecture sessions for wives, husbands or couples.

She said the Malaysian chapter had around 800 members while its chapter in Jordan had 200, adding that another in Indonesia was set to be launched on June 19 in Jakarta.

Asked whether wives should remain obedient if their husbands still abused or cheated on them despite being “kept happy” in the bedroom, Dr Rohaya said everyone was subject to God's rule.

“God has His ways and is fair to all. A husband is also subject to God's rule, meaning he can go to hell, too. But a woman must be a good wife to the end,” she said, adding that according to Islam, women should pray, fast during Ramadan, protect their chastity and obey their husbands if they wanted to enter heaven.

Dr Rohaya said the club was undaunted by public criticism, adding that she believed this was a “successful formula” to happy marriages.

OWC and the Polygamy Club were formed by Global Ikhwan Sdn Bhd, an organisation founded by former members of the banned Al-Arqam Islamic group.

A mass wedding reception for eight couples was also held during the launch.

Suntech

At my local, there’s is a building called Suntech also. They tend to make it an IT building. But if compare with this Suntech. I let you do the judgment.

It is a very large building that is standard size around here. A small country that contain a lot of large building that didn’t loose its design taste.

Seeing what have design at my place, I guess all the good designer want to earn more money. At least they didn’t need to design onion style building.

A theme park in casino

I don’t if the theme park contain the casino or the casino include the theme park. If the place is only for theme park only. I think it will loose half of it visitor that come here. I have no interested in the casino nor the theme park. I am here for the Universal Studio Park only.

I want to see the globe that spinning the Universal logo, a classic design.

I didn’t have chance to go in the park as ticket was sold out.

At the park there, it also have candy land and some art statue like the Thinker and later I know, the Dali’s elephant statue. I also get to see the Adam and Eve’s statue, a collection of the late owner of this park.

My friend told me once here you can take a free bus trip from anywhere in this country. Later the government here banned it as they afraid people will all coming the casino.

Weird, you build the casino to earn money but you banned people from gambling and you said this is for the best of people.

A discriminated policy that you hard to find in other country then here.

My Staying

My customer have prepare my staying at a hotel allocated at Clarke Quay. The hotel is a stared hotel. I check in at 2pm after my lunch. My room is very nice and for once I am happy that I took the job.

My room didn’t have the street view or what view. Just a swimming pool at below which is too small to watch anything.

The bathroom have a shower and a bath tub. Oh boy. My favorite.

They provide a lot of facilities like HD TV which I didn’t have any cable connection to it. International TV channel that didn’t clear in view. A short cable internet connection, yes, no wireless. A mini bar that I need to pay deposit first just in case I use any.

The room is quite nice and it cost me around 250 per day.

Lucky I didn’t need to pay the bill first.
