MCU Phase Four

MCU has finally enter the new phase after the end of End Game.

Personally the timeline that they announced really boring. There is nothing much to be looking forward to. The greatest characters has their own epic closure. Black Widows will have her own solo movies that doesn't do much to the storyline anymore as we know she will be dead anyway.

Thor is replaced to the female Thor which is according to the source material. Everyone started to forget who Jane Foster in MCU then suddenly she is the new Thor.

Shang Qi is based on the Bruce Lee and I never know he existed until now. Maybe he can surprise me like the Guardians did.

Eternal is the next Guardians alike team created by the King, Jack Kirby which similar with the New God in DC. I have zero knowledge about the setup and from the casting, hope they tell a good story and not preaching.

Captain Marvel I didn't watch so why bother care the sequel.

Black Panther hope they would write a better story either of semi rip off the Lion King. We already have "live action" Lion King. This time it hint that he will face Namor, the Sub Mariner which have mentioned indirectly in End Games.

Guardians 3 due to the director twitter fiasco is delayed and will have to wait extra years to complete.

Colossus

Colossus is one of the character in the new X-Men after the original four split up. He is from the Siberia. I always though he is a lame character due to the cartoon show and movies. Even the latest X-Men comic always show him as that.

But when I read the Essential X-Men series, it proof that I was wrong. He was underrated in those media. Cyclopes also. Everyone focus on Wolverine in the 90an and making these characters in to side kick level. X-Men was always about teamwork. No one is the solo strongest. Everyone has their own weakness that others team mate will cover up.

Hope to see a real interpretation of these characters.

Comic Master channel

There are some channel by the actual comic artist. The channel that I am following is the Comics Secret Pro aka Ethan Van Sciver , the Great Jim Lee and Todd Mcfarlane.

Comics Secret Pro at start talk a lot about comics tips and then he shift to talk about Star Wars and now he is one of the kickstarters comicbook.

Jim Lee mostly showing the live stream of him in Twitch. Seeing him drawing is a joy but due to the drawing is in real time, you can listen to him talking about a lot of stuff. At the end of the drawing, he will bid the drawing. Working as the publisher in DC comics, he sure know how to earn money.

Todd Mcfarlane video mostly are short but very informative. He give out small tips about drawing. He now more on the inking rather than actual drawing. But seeing him inking is really awesome. Once he show the drawing of Spawn crossover with Savage Dragon, Erik Larsen is the penciler and Todd just enhance the whole drawing. He made a lot of changes to the pencil artwork. Todd show that inker is not just tracing what the penciler draw. They enhance the drawing.

Comic commentator in Youtube

For those worst comics, I rather spend time watching some roast the hell out of those books. Their comment make the story more interesting than the book itself. The most channel that I watch is Comic Book matter with yo boi Zack, Just some guy. Yellow Flash, Douglas Ernst. Seeing them review comics is a joy.

Comic Pop is more on neutral side as they have good relationship with the publisher. Their review on comics is very interesting to watch. I just felt sometimes they hold back a bit not to offend people too much.

Comics nowadays

I read a lot of comics for the pass few years especially the US. To me, the industry is going to the end of the road. It loose the essential core element of the comics. Tell a good story with exciting artwork.

Now, it is just a sub par artwork with a lot of bubble that talk about nothing. Some will tried to inject their social political view. I am not against this but if you want to do it, do it properly. Don't tell a mediocre story and consider it as Shakespeare. 

Worst came to the super heroes genre where these called super heroes always in emo or childish mode. Batman felt like a emo kid who always in a stated of depression. I don't know what Superman is anymore. Aquaman tried to be the Jason version after the success of the movies but failed also. Wonder Woman is in a very bored adventure that didn't know why bother.

Wonder why I just mention DC? Because Marvel is cancer now. The only best storyline is Venom and Hulk. I don't know Thor or IronMan. Captain turn to a helpless man. Spider Man always in need of others people help. X-Men team before the Hickman is a cluster fuxk.

Democratic

Democratic is not the best solution but it is by far the better one than what we have. The system is easy to be abuse. You just need the majority of the people believe in you, no matter whether you mean it or not after that.

It create more and more empty promise and the promise is getting larger and larger until it turn to fairy tales.

In history, with a little bit of violence force, you can have a 100% vote for a single candidate which in modern era seem like a legit. Some candidate just suddenly unable to contest or nobody came out to contest.

Stand Up

I like to listen to some good old stand up show. The most popular stand up is those which is very very offensive. The most famous stand up comedian that I am very fond of are Richard Pryor, George Carlin and Jerry Seinfeld

Richard is famous for his very racist joke and he curse a lot.

George is famous for his view in many aspect of life and he is more of a philosopher than a stand up comedian.

Jerry is a very special one where he seldom curse in his stand up. His topic mostly resolve around life. The little aspect of daily life. He had his own TV show and I always remember this gag he perform. It is around like this: "When you watch a TV ads about detergent, they will show you a shirt full of blood and then wolla the blood stain is gone. I don't care how the blood is gone, I am more concern on how the blood get on the shirt. Call the 911"

Fat

Fat is when someone's body weight is beyond the usual body weight. Their appearance is larger that others. The size can be very mild until it take around two normal person size. This is very serious issue.

But due to the so called political correctness, you cannot say Fat anymore, it is now turn to a very offensive wording. As the Great George Carlin said, they think if they change the wording, the situation will change also.

Holiday

Holiday is the most exciting moment for working class. We no longer have the privilege to rest like schooling days. Those were the days. But most of the holiday always get wasted easily by not doing things that you think you will do during these moment.

First off, you will overslept till first quarter of the days is finished. Then you will have to get in the line with those who also came out to spend their holiday moments in the same place.

When you go back, you felt so tired that you went to sleep earlier than working days.

Then next days is the beginning of nightmare.

Time wasted

When I was younger, I thought I can maintain the lifestyle that I was used to but now I know I was wrong in a very serious way.

I can no longer concentrate to read in long hours or the luxury to spend that much of time.

I can no longer stay late at my hometown to watch any TV program, maybe due to no internet or TV show really eat shit liao.

I can no longer eat whatever I want due to health issue.

I can no longer spend time with my old friends because they have their own family to take care of.

It took me many years to proof me wrong.

Usagi

Usagi is a comic by Stan Sakai which based on the famous samurai Miyamoto Musahi. I always thought the comic was a bit child reading before I really get the chance to read. I was seriously miss out the series throughout the years.

The comics is very interesting to read. The storytelling is great and suit the artwork.

Android 10

Android 10 which is a new naming from Android Q is said to have separate the OS update with Security Patch. The new OS will allow user to update the security patch direct from Play Store instead waiting for the mercy of the OEM to provide.

Android was notorious in term of update. Many devices never get any or only a few update from the manufacturers. These have cause a security breach concern for the most of the android devices.

Many manufacturers don't want to spend extra effort to maintain the software. Due to the fragmentation of devices, it is not easy for Google to provide update from their side in term of hardware firmware. This is the same situation as Microsoft Windows which always cause chaos for each update that crash the hardware firmware stability and compability.

A10 CPU

Current in market Apple device that still using A10 CPU is iPod Touch 7th Gen, iPad 2018, iPad 10.2 2019 and just retired iPhone 7.

The CPU was introduced in 2016 Sep and Apple still think the CPU is capable to handle the current OS requirement. So either the CPU is really ahead of its time or Apple just cheap out.

In software cycle, the new devices should entitled for a few updates before Apple decided to retired the CPU.

Current already retired CPU is the A8 which where launched at 2014 Sep. In theory, the A10 will have another 2 years of software  update.

iPhone 11 Pro/ Max

Apple finally make it, they have produced the three eye raven for iPhone. The main focus for iPhone is the camera. The event practically now is a camera introduction. The rest of the features is just a bump from previous specs. The claim of the battery is to be tested in real world later. Now we just hear what they say it would be.

iPad 10.2 2019

The entry level iPad had being given an update on the screen size, from 9.7" to 10.2" with a smart connector that allow you to purchase another Apple Smart Keyboard.

Beside that, I guess that's all. The rest is the same with 2018 version. Same CPU same RAM same camera same storage option.

The price different between the early iPad Air 2019 is RM 1K with better CPU and higher RAM and camera, screen quality.

But is the RM1 K justify the better spec?

I am still thinking.

Windows Update - disable it

Not all user have unlimited or large speed to download gigantic file size update that Microsoft keep sending out on regular basic. In order to prevent Microsoft from forcing you to download the update, we can set our network property into metered. This is designed for those who have internet quota that cannot afford to waste the quota to Microsoft's update.

But this is not always 100% proof of work as some critical update determine by Microsoft will bypass the setting and download.

Media Creation Tool

We can download Windows 10 image file from Microsoft. To do this, we need to install media creation tool from https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10

After download done, install the software.

Run the software and you can select your windows version and you can either direct create USD installation file or IOS images file.

For USB, Microsoft has a very weird issue, the drive cannot be NTFS but must be FAT32 else the drive won't able to boot.

Haze again and again

We have a new season called Haze. It happen annually and the government will handle the situation as usual. Minister will promise to solve the issue and then the cycle repeated.

Once the opposition bash the old government for unable to solve the matter but now even with them in position it is just  kettle called pot black.

Return to Linux?

Still in consideration whether to switch my OS back to Linux. Last time I use Linux due to I dont have legal copy of Windows. The price is too high for me to afford.

But due to my work's benefit, I able to obtain a license Pro which I used until now.

Lately the Windows has came with very very huge update and each update is like a gamble of either live or die to my computer.

Another HDD bite the dust

When I was watching Anime, suddenly the notorious Blue Screen appeared and thats the end of my SSD which I just bought half a year ago.

Life is too short.

All the data that I collected for the pass half years now gone.

Inktober 2019

The list is out now and left not much day to plan. Wonder if this year able to complete the list.

9 - 16

A few more days our nation will be celebrating our National day. This is the day we form our current nation minus a country leave after a few years. Not until last 10 years people start to realize that our nation never mention this day or celebrate. Nobody ask why but now it has been declared as official and it is a national holiday.

Android Q

The current way to get to try the latest Android Q is using the simulator. Install Android Studio and use the AVD to execute the virtual phone. The major issue with this method is the simulator is very slow. Only suitable if you don't have the spare money to indulge yourself. A beggar can not be choosy.

Android Update

There are a few way to ensure that customers can get the latest Android update. One is purchase hot selling flagship level phone. Some company's flagship has bad sales that they give up directly to care about the phone anymore.

Second is purchase phone that is under Google program. The update is carried out by Google and not the OEM. This is called Android One but these phone normally have shitty spec compare to the pricing.

Third is purchase phone by Google but the problem is the availability is very low. Not practical.

The last is the most easy one, buy a new phone. Phone maker only promise to provide maximun 2 years software support. Some d.o.a.

Surface Pro 7

Microsoft will be announcing their newly Surface Pro 7 in Oct 2th. Everyone is guessing whether they still stubborn and not including USB Type-C to the device or they felt the time is right now to implement the interface.

But one time I think my estimate will be always right, after 1 year, their type cover keyboard and battery issue will be in the Microsoft Community posting.

iPhone September 11 Malaysia time

Apple will announce the latest iPhone models in September 10th USA time which mean the next day in Malaysia.

The leaked images show that this version will have Triple camera and the design is beauty lay in the eye of beholder.

A lot of early feedback is design is not so important, the important is the features.

Since when Apple is not about design anymore?

5G is the future?

The world is preparing to the age of 5G. The speed is outstanding compare to 4G. But how much will these Telco would want to invest in facility? Current 4G is not so well implement. The station easy congested and affect the speed in very serious way.
  

Flash Moto G Custom ROM

I need to record the steps to flash the rom.

First adb device using CMD after connect Moto G to computer
Then adb reboot bootloader to restart the phone to Recovery Mode
Select WIPE dalvik, cache, data, system
Conform WIPE
Then adb push customerromfilename.zip /sdcard
After done, select Install and browse the zip file.
Confirm the installation.
If hit error, reboot the device and wipe the data again.
Better not do any system Update after complete because it will cause infinity reboot.
